Ok, Ben, while I am enjoying everybody's research thus far, I think I'm going to consistently find yours the most exciting. Water from exhaust?? Wow! Do you think this could eventually have decent ramifications for developing nations, particularly those prone to drought, when the technology develops into something a bit less maintenance-intense? And on a more disturbing note, why is it this sort of technology is so often devised specfically developed for use in combat/combat-related situations? We never seem to invest in human life unless it means defending our own.
How do issues of justice come into play while we develop technology, even before it arrives and is distributed?
And thank you for your shared interest in The Singularity. Yes, I found that article most helpful... I think I might actually look into the issue of spiritual cyborgs quite soon.
